Refund & Cancellation Policy

How billing, cancellation and refunds work for CarbonAtlas subscriptions

In short: you can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund part-used periods, except where the law requires it.

1. What you are buying

CarbonAtlas is a software-as-a-service platform for CBAM compliance, delivered online. There is no physical delivery. Your plan is activated as soon as payment is confirmed, and access is available immediately after that.

2. Free trial

The Professional plan includes a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required to start, and you are not charged until the trial ends. If you do not continue, there is nothing to cancel and nothing to refund.

3. Billing

  • Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance.
  • All prices are in EUR and exclude applicable VAT.
  • Enterprise customers may pay by bank transfer (SEPA or SWIFT) under a signed Order Form with Net 30 payment terms.

4. Cancelling your subscription

  • You may cancel at any time by emailing us at the address below. We will confirm the cancellation and the date it takes effect.
  • Cancelling stops future renewals. It takes effect at the end of the current billing period, so you keep full access until then and are not charged again.
  • You can export your data while your subscription is active. After the subscription ends, we delete or anonymise your data as described in our Terms of Service, except where the law requires us to keep it.

5. Refunds

  • We do not provide pro-rated refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by applicable EU consumer law.
  • Refunds are returned to the original payment method. The time it takes to appear depends on your bank or card issuer.

6. Failed or missed payments

If a payment fails, we may suspend the account after a 14-day grace period.

7. Price changes

Fee increases require 60 days written notice before they take effect, so you can cancel before a new price applies. Annual contracts are subject to the price adjustment set out in section 8 of our Terms of Service.
